Treatment at The Training Room is provided by Dr. Phil Davis, PT, DPT, CSCS, a Navy veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, a USC graduate trained in Active Release Techniques, and faculty in the USAHS Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Most low back pain improves with the right movement and a plan you understand. We help you find which positions and exercises ease your pain, then build the strength to keep it from coming back.

What we commonly treat

Low back strain, disc-related pain, sciatica and pain traveling into the leg, stiffness from long days sitting, and back pain that flares with lifting or running.

Your visit

A McKenzie-based movement assessment, hands-on treatment when it helps, and exercises you can do at home and at work.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an MRI first?

Usually not. Most low back pain improves without imaging, and Dr. Davis will tell you if you need one.
